Leeloo Takes Charge, Finding Bliss in Content and Video Creation

Meet Leeloo Lawcombe, a 19-year-old content creator and TikTok star, but behind that fame and impeccable style is an assertive, young woman with authenticity.

Leeloo opposes the label of "influencer" on her as she mostly uses her social media platform to share dance, POV, and OOTD videos. "I don't think of myself as an influencer. I’m more of a content creator.

"I've always wanted to be on social media and YouTube as I've wanted to do it since I was small. So, I feel like I've somewhat achieved my goals," says her.

Every story has a beginning, as they say, and Leeloo's career began when she worked independently as a freelancer, and one of them involved modeling. "When I was younger, I did want to be a model as I thought it was quite a luxurious industry to be in.

“I would say actually being in it, it’s a lot different to people as what they expected it to be,” says her. Contrary to popular belief, Leeloo remarked that modeling kept her on edge. She revealed that she’s a socially awkward person and to be in the modeling industry, made her feel incompetent.

Despite not feeling at home in modeling, Leeloo finds joy in content and video creation. She admits that she is quite shy in front of people but that she is a natural on camera.

“I feel more comfortable creating videos rather than modeling - because modeling is more like a service to the product rather than being yourself,” she expresses.

Leeloo is now considered as a recognized TikToker as a result of her passion for content creation. However, fame comes at a price: hate comments.

"I don't often receive hate messages comments but a few months ago, I did receive one, and it was about my hair. There were a million views and thousands of comments bashing my hair, but I didn't care.

"Since I was doing it for myself, it had no impact on me at all. I'm not trying to win people over. I'm aware that not everyone will like it, but as long as I do, I'm content,” confides Leeloo.

After dropping out of a course earlier this year, Leeloo decides to give herself a couple more years to do what she does now before pursuing study in fashion design or forensic science.

“I do plan to study, and I take a big interest in psychology and true crime. It’s definitely something that will pique my interest and would definitely make me settle down,” shares Leeloo.
