Jestinna Kuan Muse on Passions and Dreams

“A true passion that burns within your soul is one that can never be put out,” Zach Toelke once said. From passion to achieving aspirations, Jestinna Kuan is the epitome of fiercely driven for success.

Retracing memories back to her childhood days, Jestinna recounts all the singing competitions that she used to join up until she finally graduated from school.

Her aspiring singing ambition was torn between her love for science and music before furthering her studies at higher education. “I went for Pharmacy because I love Science. At that time, I still had a passion for dancing and music.

I was doing both at the same time, studying and music. Then when I got my pharmacist license, I started to venture into music again when I had more time to myself,” said Jestinna who established a very strong social media presence.

Before becoming an aspiring singer, Jestinna made her name as a social media content creator, where she was known for creating content on dance and singing covers, as well as fashion and lifestyle content.

“I think it’s something different for a content creator to venture into singing. Not many content creators do that so making music and singing is a plus point for me. To flourish in this industry, I’ll have to stay true to myself,” said the Malaysian singer.

Jestinna’s first song ‘Making Me Feel’ was released two years ago, garnering up to 777K views on YouTube. Her second single was a Chinese New Year song ‘虎年新年到’, an overnight sensation that surpassed 10 million views.

Her recent hit ‘一瞬間’ reached 1.6 million views in just a month after its release. “I’m very grateful to XENO, my boss, and Adam who can write lyrics well. Thanks, Jee for the music arrangement. We worked so well together,” shares Jestinna.

Living life to the fullest and fighting for your dreams has always been Jestinna’s thing. After her recent hit, Jestinna is currently focused on her new upcoming Chinese New Year Song (2023).

“I never knew I could do a Chinese New Year song! I only imagined myself doing the RnB or K-POP genre because I can dance at the same time. Hopefully, there are more songs and live performances for me next year,” muses Jestinna, who’s open to discovering different music genres and styles.
